Varsity Hockey Program

Raiders Hockey Association Registration and Refund Policy The Raiders Hockey Association ("RHA") is a nonprofit organization that operates on a budget established before each season begins. Player registration fees are used to fund league entry fees, ice contracts, coaching, officials, uniforms, insurance, administrative expenses, and other team-related operating costs. Many of these expenses are committed or paid before the first practice or game and are incurred regardless of a player's participation. No Refund Policy All registration fees, club fees, tuition, deposits, installment payments, and any other amounts paid to the Raiders Hockey Association are non-refundable. Refunds will not be issued for, including but not limited to: • Voluntary withdrawal from the program. • Player injury or illness. • Academic ineligibility. • Suspension or disciplinary action. • Schedule changes. • Relocation or change in personal circumstances. • Dissatisfaction with team placement, coaching decisions, playing time, or team operations. • Failure to attend practices or games. • Any circumstance beyond the Association's control. A player's decision to withdraw from the program, whether before, during, or after the season has begun, does not relieve the player or parent/guardian of any outstanding financial obligations owed to the Association. Payment Obligations Registration constitutes a financial commitment to the Raiders Hockey Association. Parents or guardians selecting a payment plan remain responsible for the full amount of the player's fees, regardless of whether the player completes the season. Any unpaid balances may result in: • Suspension of participation in team activities. • Placement on any outstanding debt list maintained by the applicable governing hockey organization, if permitted by league rules. • Referral for collection of the outstanding balance as permitted by law. Registration Insurance During registration, families may have the option to purchase third-party registration insurance. The Raiders Hockey Association strongly encourages families to consider this optional coverage, as it may provide reimbursement for certain unforeseen circumstances. Any claims under such coverage must be submitted directly to the insurance provider and are subject to the provider's terms and conditions. The Association is not responsible for determining eligibility for insurance benefits or processing insurance claims. Cancellation by the Association If the Raiders Hockey Association cancels an entire season before it begins and no meaningful hockey activities are provided, the Board of Directors may, in its sole discretion, authorize a full or partial refund after considering expenses already incurred. Board Authority The Board of Directors reserves the right to interpret and administer this policy and to make exceptions only when required by TSHL, TAHA, applicable law, or when the Board determines that extraordinary circumstances warrant consideration. Any exception approved by the Board shall apply only to that specific situation and shall not establish a precedent for future requests. Acknowledgment By registering a player with the Raiders Hockey Association, the parent/guardian and player acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to this Registration and Refund Policy. Registration and payment constitute acceptance of these terms.
